Blankets of Solace Blanket Drive
For it is in giving that we receive. - Francis of Assisi
Now through December 20th, Bring a new blanket into the studio for a free class and get entered in to win one-month of unlimited yoga classes.
I started Blankets of Solace in 2017 after attending a trauma training for yoga teachers. Through my training I learned how much a warm blanket can bring comfort to someone who has been, or is going through, difficult times.
A blanket is a symbol of comfort, warmth, and security--many of the things someone struggling through a difficult time has lost and is trying to regain. Blankets of Solace collects new warm blankets to bring a sense of comfort, warmth, and support to men, women, and children who have experienced trauma and hardships.
This year I am collecting blankets for the Branch County Veterans Affairs. The Branch County Veterans Affairs works with over 5000 veterans in the area. The money collected will help collect blankets and a small gift for a veteran this holiday season.
You can drop off new blankets (handmade is acceptable) at Coldwater Yoga located at 153 Division Street, Coldwater, Studio 17 Salon located at 17 E Chicago St Quincy, and Pure Envee Spa located at 53 W Chicago Street, Coldwater, and Athletico Physical Therapy of Coldwater located at 398 N Willowbrook Rd, Coldwater, MI 49036.
